Unfortunately we ended up in this place. Far from what wanted to be a good afternoon/night with the family, it turned into a real nightmare. Make yourself comfortable because you are going to hallucinate.
Wednesday, August 7, 9:15 p.m., we called to make a reservation at the phone number that appears on Google (right here).
A person picks up the phone and takes our reservation for 10:00 p.m., everything is ready, we are about 10 minutes by car from the Magazinos. We parked in the parking lot at the port of Denia and walked up, about 8 minutes to the Magazinos market, where the restaurant we called to reserve was supposedly located, we showed up there and it was a 2x2 kiosk in the market, obviously there were no tables there.
We spoke to a person who “kindly” told us that the reservation was at another restaurant and that it was there next door, I search for it on Google and he tells me a 15-minute walk, I insist, and he convinces me by telling me no, that it was there next door. side, which he himself calls to save the table for us, we go with two small children. (Google Maps doesn't lie, it indicates a 15-minute walk).
Totally, something never seen before, they had picked up the phone to make a reservation in Magazino and they had made a reservation for us in a place almost 2 km away walking through Denia (L'atelier du Petit Français Marquesado)
Denia in the middle of summer, everything is packed, we don't have many other options. We walk to the other restaurant.
A place on the ground floor of a neighborhood community leaving Denia, almost 20 minutes walk (I repeat, with two small children) in stifling heat.
We arrived at the place, there were three tables, three people on duty, almost 40 minutes later we don't even have the drink and the cook himself (with indignation) says "you are giving me takeaway orders, and that table you are waiting for is the last one" 23 :00 hours and without dinner.
In the place it was at least 40 degrees, WITHOUT AIR. Obviously my intention is to go by car (walking about 30 minutes) and my children without dinner, it was not the best option, but I was going to do it. I try to order a taxi through one of the apps for this (none have service to that area),
My oldest son gets dizzy from the heat it was there and starts to feel unwell (between the walk, the tremendous heat in that place and without eating, it seems that this sensitizes the cook who puts the hamburger on the table for us )
After 5 minutes the “kind” gentleman from Magazinos who had booked us and then sent us there appears. It turns out that this individual is the owner of the premises, hence his interest. Zero scruples.
I tell him that how can he tell me that it is next door, we are almost a 30-minute walk away and worst of all, I have called a phone number to make a reservation at Magazinos. After a while arguing, he admits the mistake, and is willing to pay for a taxi. Recognizing the mistake, I don't accept it, but he gives it to my wife.
So, be careful, these types of people are the ones who cannot be called businessmen, miscreants and ill-intentioned,
It's the first negative review I've ever put on Google. And now don't come because we don't know about your visit or similar (I'm attaching proof of this)
Local without air conditioning and terrible service, a table besides us and almost an hour to be served to eat a simple hamburger (common place that you can find in any neighborhood place), without a doubt I would change it for any chain of food hamburgers fast.
It was our son's birthday and they went to get a candle to then put it on dessert.
We will repeat for sure!
Regarding the starters, they have several, I think the gyozas are very good, although the brioche should not be underestimated.
In short, it is a very quiet place where you can go and eat some good hamburgers, the place is quite cozy.

Lauren and Pascal are in the kitchen in the morning and delight us! Very very reasonable prices, a warm welcome, my husband is celiac and he can have his gluten-free tostadas which is a big plus...
In short, a little gourmet break in the morning far from the tourist restaurants 🥰 we love it!
